Disaster Recovery Manager

This specialized program prepares learners for careers as disaster recovery managers across Canada, with a strong emphasis on project management. Students will develop the skills, knowledge, and certifications needed to plan, coordinate, and execute recovery projects from start to finish in compliance with industry standards. The curriculum combines foundational learning with hands-on experience, certified training, and project management principles essential for leading recovery efforts. Additionally, students will earn industry-recognized certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and receive Verisk technology training.

Students can choose to complete the full program, completing all of the required courses at a discounted rate, or they can take individual courses which range from $200-$500 each.

The program works with industry stakeholders and experts and technology firms in Canada.

Graduates will have the opportunity to participate in an online job fair initiative to connect directly with top-tier employers, making it easier for them to secure employment upon completing the program and streamline the transition from education to career.

Students that complete the program will receive:

• A professional learning certificate as a Disaster Recover Manager from Humber College
• Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT) Certification from IICRC
• Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification from IICRC
• Xactimate Level 1 Training from Verisk
• Exposure to other key industry technology
