Ultrasound Program

Had a great experience learning about the field as part of the Onboarding requirement for a position that never materialized at a longterm care facility. Nevertheless, the experience was pretty good. I would recommend anyone interested in working at a longterm facility to take this course as it is an extremely valuable and interesting tool to have.

Very disappointed in my experience. The instructors seemed like great people though! However, the Digital Health & Data Analytics program does not have the curriculum that is up to the standards of a 3-4 year college program. The content is not extensive enough to span that long and it definitely is not worth paying full tuition to take multiple courses with very redundant contexts and lessons. The program is not application heavy. There are only 4 courses out of the 11 courses that work on coding and even in those courses there was room for fairly little practice. The remaining courses share majority of the lessons and could easily be condensed into 3 separate courses instead of 7. I was hoping getting accepted into Michener would provide me with substantial knowledge and experience that can be transferred to a job. However, there wasn't much opportunity to work on projects that could be put on a resume to assist with getting a job after the program. The practicum opportunities for the most part were not feasible as you would still have to pay full tuition even though the majority of the practicums were unpaid. Overall, this program did not benefit me (especially since there are many coding courses available online at a fraction of the cost) in terms of knowledge gained or connections made supplement that with Michener being a very expensive and hard to get into college.
