Video Game Design and Development

My experience representing TFS at TIFF 50 was spectacular. I'll admit it being my first TIFF was overwhelming but the team who sent me was so accommodating. It was great to chat with them at the booths, they helped me when I wanted to pick up my pass the day before TIFF so I could attend some early morning screenings on the first day.

I've worked with the social media and brand team in other capacities and it's always lovely. They were very encouraging about the content we made about our time at TIFF and I loved all the conferences / screenings I got to attend.

Aside from that my experience at TFS as an educational institute was pretty good! I have some wonderful instructors and the ones that weren't great often didn't last long because the school does a fantastic job at listening to student's feedback about instructors.

I enjoyed how the curriculum was structured, and it's constantly being improved. There were changes underway while I was still in the program. I think that the process of thesis film pitching and production could have been a little more organized, sometimes our student producers were very frustrated coordinating with the head of production.

But like I mentioned before there was a lot being improved during my time as a student. My singular experience could have been due to the fact that there were so many new things in play that term.

I moved to Toronto to study Acting at TFS. I don't regret my decision. I met a lot of talented and creative people that I will treasure for life. I also met a lot of instructors who are very much willing to guide me even after graduation. I loved the network I got to build at TFS. The school also provides a lot of networking opportunities to its students. I believe that it's important especially if you're trying to enter the film industry.
