Pharmacy Assistant

triOS College’s Pharmacy Assistant program offers an immersive 32-week learning experience designed to mirror real-world pharmacy environments. With small class sizes and access to industry-standard equipment, students receive personalized instruction from professionals who bring firsthand expertise from the fast-evolving pharmaceutical field. The program provides a strong foundation in prescription processing, pharmacy software, extemporaneous compounding, retail pharmacy operations, and essential medical terminology—ensuring learners build the technical and interpersonal skills required to support pharmacists in a variety of healthcare settings.

Through a combination of comprehensive live online instruction and a 6-week hands-on internship, students gain both the theoretical knowledge and practical confidence needed to succeed as pharmacy assistants. The curriculum includes key courses in anatomy and physiology terminology, pharmacology, pharmacy law and ethics, CPR and First Aid, pharmacy mathematics, and digital literacy. Graduates emerge well-prepared to deliver safe, accurate, and compassionate pharmaceutical care, positioning them for rewarding roles in community pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare environments.

Admission Requirements

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
