Certificate in Human Resources Management

The York University School of Continuing Studies offers a fully online Certificate in Human Resources designed to equip students with the knowledge and applied skills needed to succeed in the HR field. Through this program, students will complete nine courses to meet the coursework requirement for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

This program goes beyond basic HR theories and practices to provide a deeper understanding of the skills and competencies required for HR professionals. It emphasizes key abilities that employers highly value, including communication, critical thinking, data literacy, and ethics.

Recognized by the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA), this program ensures students gain the insights and expertise required by one of Canada’s leading professional HR organizations. Students will develop their HR management skills through experiential assignments and projects, all while learning from experienced HR professionals.

Students will progress through the program alongside a cohort of peers, fostering a supportive network for career growth. In less than two years, graduates will be prepared for a variety of HR roles, including Human Resource Consultant, Organizational Development Specialist, and Human Resource Generalist.
