Harv’s Air’s Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) program equips graduates with the skills to serve as second-in-command or pilot-in-command of two-crew aircraft. The duration of the program varies depending on the individual’s prior experience. For those starting with no flying experience, the journey from zero hours to obtaining a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with a Multi-Instrument Rating typically takes about 12 months, accumulating 200 flight hours. Following this, candidates can gain additional flight experience by working as flight instructors, allowing them to log another 1,300 hours in roughly 18 months. In total, the pathway to an ATPL takes about 30 months (2.5 years).

To meet ATPL requirements, candidates must complete a minimum of 1,500 total flight hours, including 900 hours in aeroplanes, 250 hours as pilot-in-command, and at least 100 hours of cross-country flight time (25 hours of which must be night flights). Additional qualifications include 75 hours of instrument flight time and successful completion of the SAMRA and SARON exams. Harv’s Air also offers online ground school preparation to ensure comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge is gained throughout the program.
