International Medical Arts Institute (IMAI) has a 2–3-year TCM Acupuncture Diploma Program, where one can achieve status as an Acupuncturist. (2150 hours and In-Class Practicum hours: 620 Classes are on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with the Practicum In-Class portion on weekends. The TCM program consists of four 3-month terms per year. The program is a hybrid/blended one with Live Zoom interactive lectures, class lectures, and In-Class Practicum.

IMAI’s goal is to prepare students to become experts and registered Acupuncturists using TCM theory, diagnosis, and integrative treatment – including auricular, cupping moxibustion, and herbal therapies – to help patients with health conditions and concerns. To this end, IMAI prepares students to write the Pan-Canadian Examinations. Students need to study outside of school and attend all classes (which are recorded, should an emergency arise).
