The Dental Office Assistant program at NorQuest College is an intensive 12-week certificate designed to equip students with the administrative skills necessary for a dental practice. The curriculum covers dental terminology, office procedures, dental software, and effective communication strategies for diverse client interactions.
Graduates will complete 150 hours of practicum experience, providing hands-on training in real-world settings. Career opportunities include roles in general and specialty dental practices, dental labs, insurance companies, and dental supply firms. This program is not suitable for international students due to practicum work permit timing.
Admission Requirements
- 50% in English Language Arts 30-1, 65% in English Language Arts 30-2, 50% in ESLG 1860, or 65% in ESLG 1898.
- 65% in MATH 1905 or 50% in Mathematics 10-3.
- Academic Assessment (Optional): Applicants may meet the academic requirements through a free assessment.
