Got a product idea? This part-time Product Management course will teach learners what it means to be a Product Manager, and how to work with technical teams to successfully bring a product idea to life while managing Stakeholder relations. If an individual is looking to learn more about tech or want to get into the industry, Product Management is a great option as it involves the intersection of design, technology, and business.

Brainstation will cover everything from modelling a market opportunity to driving the product development process with an engineering and design team, all in a simulation environment in which learners get to design their own product proposal and forecast financial success.

By the end of the course, learners will gain the tools required to rigorously evaluate and develop a product idea, and the frameworks upon which to make the quick decisions required for product success, in both software technology startup environments and for large enterprise initiatives.

The Product Management course led by Guy Walker and George Odiana exceeded my expectations. Coming from a marketing background, I was brand new to this topic and slightly apprehensive about whether I would 'get it' and whether I could really succeed in an online course (it's been years since I've taken any kind of course, I was rusty). My concerns were quickly squashed by Guy and Walker who delivered the material in an incredibly thorough and engaging manner, allowing the class to participate freely throughout the sessions and answering all of our questions without judgement. Our class was comprised of students from all over the globe, and as we progressed through the weeks and became more comfortable with one another, it truly felt like we were back in school with our peers . Throughout the 8 weeks, I was able to apply some key learnings from this course to my current role and I know I will continue to do so as I continue down my career path, wherever that may take me. I can honestly say I would recommend this course to anyone who is not only curious about Product Management but about continuing education in general. The knowledge obtained was only surpassed by the confidence I gained throughout these two months, proving to myself that it's never too late to learn something new :)

    BrainStation courses are BYOL (bring your own laptop). This allows you to complete homework in the comfort of your own home and to become comfortable with your machine to continue your learning beyond completion of the course.

  • Can I just learn on my own?

    Ultimately people are social learners, there is nothing that can substitute a classroom of students as eager to learn as yourself. It may take you years to learn something on your own without proper guidance.
