Capilano University’s two-year Interaction Design diploma program combines design and technology to prepare students for careers in the tech industry. The program fosters creativity, design thinking, and problem-solving skills essential for success in digital product design. Students focus on user experience design and user interface design, website and mobile app design, branding, and motion design, while exploring emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality, along with design systems and digital workflows. Students also gain proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
The program emphasizes hands-on learning through real-world projects, led by experienced faculty from the local design community, a capstone project, and an eight-week practicum at top agencies or tech companies.
