The Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC) is a leading provider of professional education and career development for the country’s property and casualty insurance industry. Founded as a not-for-profit organization in 1899, the Institute now supports over 41,000 members across Canada, operating through 19 volunteer-driven provincial institutes and chapters.
The IIC sets professional standards for the industry by offering education programs that lead to various accreditations, including the globally recognized Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designations. More than 20,000 members of the Institute are students, while over 18,000 have earned IIC designations.
