Master of Nursing (MN)

Toronto Metropolitan University’s Master of Nursing (MN) program empowers registered nurses to advance their careers in education, leadership, management, and advanced practice. Through an engaging and rigorous curriculum, the program combines theoretical foundations with hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking, research literacy, and professional growth. The course-based stream includes five core courses—Quantitative Research Methods: Design and Critical Appraisal, Qualitative Research Methods: Design and Critical Appraisal, Nature and Development of Nursing Knowledge, Seminar in Professional Nursing Advancement, and Practicum in Professional Nursing Advancement. These courses build the foundation for evidence-based decision-making and professional leadership while providing opportunities for students to apply their learning in real-world contexts. Graduates emerge as forward-thinking nursing professionals equipped to contribute meaningfully to practice, policy, and education within the evolving healthcare system.

Admission Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or its equivalent.
• Proof of current registration or proof of registration eligibility with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
